As you approach a landmark, Urban Tales detects your GPS position and plays the story. No tapping, no searching. Put your phone in your pocket and just walk and listen.
Switch between Historical, Legends, Fun Facts and Cinematic at any time. The same landmark sounds completely different in each mode — all four are worth hearing.
Use the tour generator to create a 7 Wonders, Full-Day, Half-Day or Custom route for your city. Or ignore it entirely and wander — the app keeps up either way.

Urban Tales works in any city worldwide — the app detects nearby landmarks wherever you are. Featured city guides with curated, deep-dive stories are currently available for Rome, Paris and Mexico City. More cities are being added regularly. How much does Urban Tales cost?
The app is free to download and includes 6 free landmarks per day — enough to get a real feel for any city. A 24-hour Day Pass unlocks unlimited landmarks in all cities. You can also permanently unlock individual cities for ongoing access. No subscriptions required.
Do I need to book in advance or join a tour group?
No. Urban Tales is completely self-guided. Download the app, open the map and start walking. GPS handles the rest — no booking, no groups, no guides, no fixed schedule.
What languages does Urban Tales support?
English, Spanish (LATAM), Brazilian Portuguese, French and German. Select your language when you first open the app — it applies to all city content.
Can I plan a route before I travel?
Yes. The tour generator lets you build a 7 Wonders, Full-Day, Half-Day or Custom route for your destination. You can set it up before you leave and follow it on arrival. You can also explore completely freely without a route — the app plays stories automatically as you discover landmarks on your own.
Does the app work without Wi-Fi or mobile data?
Urban Tales requires an active internet connection to load stories and map data during your walk. We recommend using a local SIM or travel data plan for the best experience abroad.
